The POPS presents an evening dedicated to American Music and Music "About America"
The Villages Pops Orchestra began in 2011 as The Villages Strings Orchestra, a small group of string players. Today, the "Pops" has approximately 65 musicians, some of which were former professionals or former high-school and college performers. As the only All - Villager orchestra, the Pops has grown in popularity as well as membership.

"ALL AMERICAN"-250th Birthday Celebration
The POPS opens it's 2025-2026 concert season presenting music from the pen of American Music Composers or Selections About America. From jazz, to symphonies and folk songs to the Great American Songbook you'll enjoy music from and about our own backyard, America. Keep following up here on our website to get more information on "ALL AMERICAN" as we in the orchestra finalize the program and list some of the composers and selections to be presented. We are looking forward to a thrilling and somewhat unique evening.
The Villages Pops Orchestra is comprised solely of residents of The Villages in Central Florida. Our vision is to provide high quality music of varied genres to the community. From Broadway scores to the classical repertoire, the Pops presents concerts suited for all audiences.
The Orchestra rehearses every Tuesday morning from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Laurel Manor Recreation Center. Preparing for each concert is hard work, however rehearsals are enjoyable, and have been the source of long and meaningful friendships between its members, board and musical director.
